Hudson Oh Clocktower

Welcome to the
Hudson Society of Artists
We are a group of individuals interested in
furthering artistic endeavors in northeast Ohio.

Membership is open to artists of all ages and abilities,
from professionals to beginners,
as well as those who
are interested in the arts but are not necessarily artists
themselves. Family memberships are also available. There are no residency requirements

Our Mission
Our mission is to promote public awareness of art and to encourage artists in their pursuits.
Our Vision
As a community organization, HSA helps other organizations and non-profits to promote the future of art such as our annual high school art scholarship, contributes to local community organizations, and subsidizes other art entities. Members come from many different communities, not just Hudson.
Since the early 1960s, HSA has hosted the annual Clothesline Art Show. Proceeds from which has been directed toward many different charitable endeavors.  We are proud supporters of The Hudson Community Foundation, the annual Independence Day Celebration, and The Case Barlow Farm. Hudson Society of Artists also supports fellow artists such as the locally founded National Collage Society, the Cliffside Collaborative Artists, and the Ohio Watercolor Society.
We award the Lowell E. Smith/Margaret Roby Memorial Scholarship annually to a Hudson High School student who is pursuing the study of art in college. The 2020 recipient of the Margaret Roby/Lowell Ellsworth Smith Memorial Art Scholarship wasAbby Kern!
