Our Annual Clothesline Art Show and Sale is open to all members in good standing. It is a sale of ORIGINAL, SMALL (no larger than 16” x 20”), UNFRAMED artwork, held at:
East Woods Intermediate School Commons, 120 N. Hayden Pkwy, in conjunction with the Hudson Garden Club.
MEMBERS WHO PARTICIPATE ARE EXPECTED TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME IN SOME WAY
DURING THE SHOW.
If you are not signed up to volunteer, please call Deanna. Your name must appear on the volunteer sign-up sheet at check-in on Wednesday, June 11th.
CALENDAR: - Wed., June 11, 10:00 am-2:00 pm, East Woods Intermediate School – intake of artwork and show set up.
Bring:

Signed release and registration

Completed list of entries (NO SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPES NEEDED)

Make sure labels are attached to the front outer side of the artwork in the lower right corner.

Volunteers will set up panels and hang the show on Wednesday at East Woods Intermediate School as artwork comes in.

Artwork is hung with the use of clothespins.
Volunteer schedule to follow. - Friday, June 13 from 10:00-5:00 pm and Saturday, June 14 from 10:00 –3:00 pm -- Clothesline Art Show. - Pick up unsold paintings on Saturday from 3:00-4:00 pm. Please wait until 3:00 pm to give visitors a chance to finish shopping.
Volunteers will then tear down the show and load it for storage. If delivery and/or pickup times ARE NOT convenient, please arrange to have someone bring your work (and appropriate paperwork) or contact a committee chair: Deanna Clucas.

ARTWORK: Must be the original work of the participant, matted with a neutral mat, and wrapped securely in clear plastic.

Size should not exceed 16” x 20”. Canvases must have a hanging wire attached.

Each member may submit up to twelve (12) pieces.

Depending on the number of entries, some art may be displayed on flip racks.

SALES: A 10% commission will be charged on all sales.

About the Clothesline Show & Sale
Since the early 1960s, the Hudson Society of Artists has hosted the annual Clothesline Art Show, proceeds from which have been directed toward many different charitable endeavors. We are proud supporters of The Hudson Community Foundation and the annual Independence Day Celebration, and The Case Barlow Farm. Hudson Society of Artists also supports fellow artists such as the locally founded National Collage Society, the Cliffside Collaborative Artists, and the Ohio Watercolor Society.

We award the Lowell E. Smith/Margaret Roby Memorial Scholarship annually to a Hudson High School student who is pursuing the study of art in college.
