Ted Lawson is a signature, award winning member of the Ohio Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society and the Akron Society of Artists. He has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions across and outside the United States. He is a mechanical engineer and worked in that field, but fine art was always his passion, and he eventually made his passion his career.
He teaches at the Canton Museum of Art with subjects in beginning, intermediate and advanced watercolor classes, on topics ranging from composition and design through Photoshop for painters.
Ted generously gives his time prior to the workshop to prepare for focus on the artistic need of each HSA workshop artist by requesting that in September you email an image of your current work to him at tedclawson@yahoo.com
WORKSHOP DATES: Saturday, October 19th and Sunday October 20th, 2024 TIME: 9:30am to 4:00pm, with a break for lunch.
WHO: Open to HSA members and the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Current HSA members will receive a price discount.
COST: Current HSA member: $200.00 Non-member: $220.00 – Payment must be received by October 5th, 2024; $50.00 of the payment is non-refundable if the workshop is cancelled or attendee cancels
WHERE: Hudson City Hall, 1140 Terex Road, Hudson, Ohio 44236. Ground level entrance and convenient parking are located behind the building; the workshop is on the ground floor. There is a kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave for your use. HSA provides a daily continental breakfast prior to the workshop. You can bring your lunch or preorder a delivered lunch from a local restaurant. Attendants will receive details via email. There will be a dinner with Ted at a Hudson restaurant following Saturday’s workshop. Attendees are responsible for their dinner costs.
